Career

Ali Siddiq began his career in 1997 after being released from prison; he started his career as a standup comedian at “Just Joking Comedy Café” in Houston and performed in local comedy clubs in Texas. He then gradually began to move towards success due to his comedic talent; he became famous because of his unique punch line style as a standup. His jokes include events, personal life, politics, and other current situations.

In 2008, after a lot of struggle and local performances, Ali finally got a chance and made his first appearance in ‘HBO’S Def Comedy Jam program. He then starred in ‘BET’s Comic View’ and ‘Just For Laugh comedy festival in Montreal in 2012.

Gotham Comedy Live

Ali then appeared in the AXS TV program ‘Gotham Comedy Live’ in 2015, based on standup comedians’ live performances in New York City. Ali released his ‘First Half Hour’ show performance on the special occasion of Father’s Day. The program aired on Comedy Central.

After the hit success of First Half Hour, Comedy Central offered Ali ‘an hour special’, he immediately accepted the offer and began production for the show, and went back to that place from where his journey truly started. He happily performed for his prison inmates living in a Bell Country jail in Texas. The hour special ‘It’s Bigger than These Bars’ by Ali Siddiq premiered in February 2018 on Comedy Central.

2019

In 2019, Ali became a part of NBC’S comedy competition series ‘BRING THE FUNNY’, and he reached the Top 5 finalists on NBC’s show. He also appeared in ‘This Week at the Comedy Cellar’ series of comedy central and  ‘The Hughley late night talk’ show by DL Hughley in the same year.

Ali debuted in ‘Laff Mob’s Laff Tracks’ in 2020, and he joined radio legend Funky Larry Jones for the show ‘Funny as Funk’ in 2021. Ali made his guest appearances in uncountable shows on several networks and live performances. He could also see it on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience podcast till 2021.
