Joyce came to the Television industry at the age of thirteen; she performed in her life’s first role as a dancer on the television show Arthur Murray’s Dance Party from 1950 to 1960. She began Theatre and performing on local platforms after her graduation. Joyce performed in Broadway Theatre shows, including Tall Story in 1958 and ‘The Paisley Convertible in 1966.

Joyce Bulifant was born in Newport News by her parents. Joyce’s childhood fate is still unclear; she didn’t talk about her parents and siblings socially. Further, her father was a shipyard worker, and her parents got separated when she was a child; due to her parent’s marital issues, Joyce spent her childhood in foster care.
Joyce married five times in her life, she first married James MacArthur on November 2, 1958, and they divorced in 1967. She got married again on September 19, 1969, to American actor Edward Mallory, but their marriage split in 1974.
